Kagawa is now accepting all brands of shears for DHMS sharpening, cutting edge alignment, Cryo425 profiling and blade setting. Rest assured, you will not 'sometimes' get a sharp shear back. Our DHMS Technology is microscopically controlled and delivers the same result, every time.

DHMS (Diamond Hone Micro Sharpening) was originally designed to sharpen the sensitive edges found on surgical instruments. With recent advances, it is now being used in military applications in addition to on cosmetology shears.

Being a 100% manual process, no motors are used – resulting in no grinding. No heat is developed, and virtually no pressure is applied to the cutting edge, unlike motorized systems using wheels, disks or stones. A highly skilled technician uses diamond abrasives to manually load a precision slide. He then activates it, delivering the exact angle and shape to a cutting edge every time. This precision enables DHMS to be able to match each other the exact same, every time. All other sharpening systems, are unable to do this, partly because they are unable to service the inside portion of the cutting edge.

Since DHMS is a manual process it takes more time, and is more costly. The result, however, is so dramatic it must be tried to be believed. We welcome stylists to send their shears to our Manufacturing Complex in Suwanee Georgia, for DHMS Servicing. If stylists or well intentioned industry members wish, they can come watch DHMS Sharpening in person.

We charge 35$ per standard shear. It is recommended that you insure your shears through the mail. All shears are checked and tested before being shipped back out by our factory certified DHMS Sharpening technicians.
