IIBOR (International Institute for Bionic & Orthotic Research) engineers were surprised at the abnormally high number of misrepresentations they discovered within the cosmetology industry during the Orthotic Shear project. This combined with the high number of honest hardworking stylists wanting to know the facts has lead the engineers to form IIBOR Myth Busters. IIBOR Myth Busters will take your questions and suggestions and determine the topics to address.
We welcome your questions and suggestions for topics you would like us to consider. Following our workup and testing, one of the team engineers will author a narrative defining the teams’ findings. These findings will be published on this web site in their entirety.

working on the following topics:
- Shear Sharpening
- Developing a cross list of steels used in making shears. Developing a list impressive, but misleading names to describe these common steels. Developing a list of vendors using these misrepresentations as well as those claiming to be manufacturers but who are little more than brand marketers.
